ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT
The Alumni Engagement Committee is a dedicated group of graduates who work to keep our leadership community connected, informed, and inspired. This volunteer committee helps plan alumni events, support current program participants, and strengthen relationships across our network of leaders.
OUR BACKGROUND
The Alumni Engagement Committee was established to support the launch of the new San Benito Leadership Institute (SBLI) program and to foster meaningful connections with alumni from Leadership San Benito County.
A strong, engaged alumni network is essential to the long-term success of any adult community leadership program. By re-engaging past participants and inviting them to take part in the new initiative, the committee aims to build a lasting foundation of support, mentorship, and community impact.
OUR IMPACT
The Alumni Engagement Committee strengthens our leadership network by organizing meaningful gatherings and networking opportunities that keep graduates connected. This committee also creates pathways for alumni to give back through mentorship and volunteerism, while celebrating their continued growth by sharing stories, updates, and successes. Through its efforts, the committee supports ongoing leadership development and fosters civic engagement that creates lasting impact in San Benito County and beyond.

“SBLI is such an important and powerful non-profit here in San Benito County. As a former class member from the class of 2008-2009 [and now Alumni committee chair], it has been an absolute privilege and pleasure to work side by side with some of the original day chairs and volunteers who originally established the Leadership SBC program that launched in 2005.”
